At Brantim Country Garden Centre we are pleased to offer our Container Gardening Workshops for free. So bring your own moderately sized container and get your hands dirty! We’ll cheerfully guide you through the process of selecting and purchasing plants that are suited to your tastes and your environment. Learn how to prepare the potting mix in your container, how to properly position and plant your greenery, and finally how to care for your beautiful new creation. Led by our knowledgeable staff, these seminars are fun and informative, and sure to turn any thumb green.

Fall Workshops
When the days are cooler, your containers are ready to be spruced up for the harvest! Similar in structure to our summer workshops, fall workshops concentrate on selecting plants suited to cooler weather.

Winter Workshops
Our first year of Winter Workshops was a huge success and many of you took the opportunity to create your own winter container arrangements and wreaths. In our Winter Workshop we bring out the cookstove and mull some apple cider while enjoying the sounds and smells of the season. Get some friends together – it’s a great way to spend a morning chatting and creating a natural seasonal accent for your home. There’s a wide range of products to choose from, so you can spend as much or as little as you’d like. Please call for more information or to book a space.

Mondays to Fridays 9:30AM and 1:30PM
November 8th through to December 12th

*Please note: there will be a $20 booking fee for Winter Workshops which is refunded or credited to purchase upon arrival at your workshop.
Also, full groups of 10 or more can pre-book an evening workshop.

Summer Workshops:
Our workshops on container design, plant selection, planting and maintenance for new participants will be held every Tuesday and Thursday evening, starting May 11, at 6:30pm-9:00pm.
New! If you’ve done our workshops before but would still like to come out for some helpful advice we’re reserving Wednesday evenings for experienced gardeners starting May 11, at 6:30pm-9:00pm.

*PLEASE NOTE: Because these workshops are offered for free and are limited to 10 participants per evening, we respectfully ask that if you cannot come to an appointment that you give three days notice. This allows us to offer the space to another person on a waitlist, and/or to adjust our staffing requirements.
